If you think Radiohead namechecking the boys was unusual, try this for size.
Barry Manilow's list of music you should hear: Judy Garland, Bebel Gilberto, Chet Baker, Curtis Stigers, Frank Sinatra, Underworld.... http://www.amazon.com/gp/richpub/syl...sy_f_1_rysdsd0 |

Re: my pants dropped when i read this
Don't mean this as a namedropping comment, but I met Thom a few times, once after I had seen UW at Coachella, and asked him if he had ever seen them. He said he did in the UK & that after the show, he wanted to quit - he said he thought "What are we [RH] doing?" You prob'ly know that Thom has stated many times that he wishes RH was more of a dance band. In addition to that, Colin (bass) and Ed (gtr) from RH mentioned on an interview that Jumbo was one of their favorite songs.
I gave Ed a copy of the UW Creamfields 2002 boot & he said "Awesome, Cheers mate!" & I gave Thom a copy of the Everything Everything DVD when I saw him again. He was psyched. I think I gave Colin one too, can't remember. So there you go! UW is def'ly in the RH wheelhouse... |
