Yep, he sure did say that. I was there, I heard it.

Underworld performed before their set. Both shows were excellent.

If you think Radiohead namechecking the boys was unusual, try this for size.

Barry Manilow's list of music you should hear: Judy Garland, Bebel Gilberto, Chet Baker, Curtis Stigers, Frank Sinatra, Underworld....

Don't mean this as a namedropping comment, but I met Thom a few times, once after I had seen UW at Coachella, and asked him if he had ever seen them. He said he did in the UK & that after the show, he wanted to quit - he said he thought "What are we [RH] doing?" You prob'ly know that Thom has stated many times that he wishes RH was more of a dance band. In addition to that, Colin (bass) and Ed (gtr) from RH mentioned on an interview that Jumbo was one of their favorite songs.

I gave Ed a copy of the UW Creamfields 2002 boot & he said "Awesome, Cheers mate!" & I gave Thom a copy of the Everything Everything DVD when I saw him again. He was psyched. I think I gave Colin one too, can't remember.

So there you go! UW is def'ly in the RH wheelhouse...
