Josh Holloway was offered the role of Gambit, but turned it down because the character was too similar to his character on "Lost" (2004). As a result, the character was never added to the film since this would have been a special cameo put in later had Josh decided to sign on.

bad screenwriting. no bones about this. even the cast were infuriated with the director when in production.

jugglenuts' stupid "bitch" line.

believeability issues, such as when storm and wolverine exit the plane and she does not think to clear the air until she is asked..then goes white in the eyes and does it dramatically.

overuse of CGI. (i found the mass death from disintegration at the last battle to be completly excessive.)

many more too, but basically that was it.

i do like how magneto's power manifests in the very last scene. with this, plus the closing scene, there is room and HOPE for a better x-men film.

Re: X-Men 3
I had forgot to mention in my other post, that I had heard that this was the last X-Men movie, and that they were going to make a Wolverine spin-off instead.

I would like to see a fourth X-Men but to be honest, it would have to to be something great to make up for what did one did, imho.

Re: X-Men 3
I thought it was a fine "stupid comic book movie." Its an action film, we're not talking about making Citizen Kane or Metropolis here guys. I've been a long time comic nerd and X-men collector and I can appreciate this for what it is.

Its like getting a couple months of comics written or drawn by someone you don't think is quite as brilliant as Chris Claremont or Jim Lee.
It was still decently crafted and presented, obviously a little less than what we've had but still not as horrendous as the early 90's Captain America or Punisher films. My only negative points: If they'd filled a whole 2 hours it would have been easier to pace the scope of the plot and Nightcrawler needed to appear again.

More power to Synger for doing Superman. There is no bigger turd of a superhero around and it will take a lot of talent to make a character so shallow and lame into a decent film. Good luck man, good luck.

So i just dug a bit deeper and found that the "I'm the juggernaut, bitch!" line that is in the film, was first found the redubbed cartoon found here:

SO the line in the movie was a direct response to that cartoon and not the other way around. makes the line in the movie a bit funnier now to me. i had wrongly assumed the cartoon was made after the X3 film.
