X-Men 3

So, um, who else was extremely disappointed by this movie? Did anyone stick past the credits to see a Professor X scene (supposedly)? I missed that.

I didn't see the scene after the credits...I was long gone.

I was VERY disappointed by this hacked-up reproduction or the great comic series.

All we see of Juggernaut is him running into a wall and knocking himself cold? The end? No nightcrawler? And how is it they showed just about every possible second of Archangel in the trailers and he didn't do anything worthwhile in the movie (and spare me how he changed Storm's mind)?

4/10...I expected more.

I'm not bothering with this one. The first two sucked too. It was fun to see special effect recreations of that calibre of classic characters, but that's all they offered. The plots have always been mediocre, the scripts blah, and the directing uninspired: word is this one is worse on all three counts.

I find I get most disagreement from people who weren't fans of the comic. The comic's occasional brilliance set the bar too high for me, I guess. Did you see who wrote this one? Partial credit to the knob who wrote Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Fuck everyone.

despite the blown opportunities, despite the convoluted crap and the bobby/rogue romance disaster adventure, and despite all the other ways this could have been done...

i enjoyed myself immensely.

Rogue: most pointless xmen ever!

But i did enjoy it, turn of the ol' noggin and i think there will be a lot for most to enjoy.

I loved it. Colussus throwing Wolv, Sentinels, Danger Room, Phoneix, Brotherhood.. etc. It was definately for the fans.

I loved it, but it's still at the bottom of the list in the ranking of X-Men movies (X-Men 2 being my favorite). A great summer movie, but perhaps not up to par with the series. Hopefully the old director will come back to 4.

Re: X-Men 3

what?

I actually really liked this film, and I used to be absolutely obsessed with the comic books, my local shop would hold for me all the "X-books" every month

I thought it was definitely better than the first one, and I'm a bit hazy with the second, but this, I thought was more true to the comics than previous films

they couldn't do the 'proper' Phoenix saga, and this was probably the best way to convey it (believably). I mean - honestly, was anyone expecting to see the Shi'ar at all?

and there were definitely little bits here and there that were pretty much direct translations f/ the comics (like the last scene with Wolverine + Phoenix [don't want to spoil that])

and yea - there was a scene after the credits... it's in Moira Mactaggert's lab with that guy that Prof X started to talk about when he was lecturing the students....

and I loved that scene with the security guard & Mystique - where he's like "I will spray you in the face with this, bitch!" and she just replies w/ I' will kill you ... or that scene with Kitty Pride and Juggernaut

dumb usage of the word "bitch" in both those scenes, Joe :)

My favorite was when we see Mystique locked up and she's in the form of the President, screaming for help.
