I woke up to this...
i must tell you with great sadness my dear friend and mentor john martyn, the greatest musician i ever knew passed away this morning.... very sad. I was suppose to meet him in april in the studio.  his music will live on forever.

Just heard about this on the radio on the way home.
He was an inspiration to so many people, with his amazing mix of styles and skills. RIP John.
