tracking force

i have a technics 1200 with a ortofon concorde pro cartridge and i was wondering if the sound is different with more/less tracking force or if it will wear out records with more force, etc.

yes, you will wear out your records faster with a heavier tone arm setting/more force.

but will it sound any better or worse with different settings? i've got it at 4g.
