Insightful Dutch article (translated)
Found it here:

My attempt at translating (feels weird to translate Karl's words into English again ):

Underworld speaks another language

Zaterdag 13 oktober 2007 - Almost 2000 days after their last album,
a new one is to be released. However, RS & KH haven't been quiet in the mean time.

The past five years have been the busiest in their entire 27-year and counting collaboration.
They wrote soundtracks for two movies, broadcast radio & video over the internet,
and worked closely together with the artists of Tomato.

By broadcasting each week (?), they continue the work of the late John Peel.
Peel once asked them to replace him in his radio show when he went on holiday.
The DJ never returned. He died in Peru after a hart attack.
"And there we stood, just having created 200 pieces of music in a very short time period,
which we planned to give to him after his return from his holiday.", Hyde explains.
"We grieved so hard, we decided to continue what he had taught us: making radio.
We contacted the labels that had provided him of the latest songs, and started broadcasting over the internet."

By also jamming live in their radioshow, they realised that the internet offered more possibilities.
"If you want to play live, you don't need to get onto a plane or a tourbus.
For years we played with the idea to make web-based tv.
When Quicktime offered us to assist us, we broadcast for four hours from Sven Väth's Cocoon club in Frankfurt.
Sven played records, while we played live or played records as well, through which Tomato mixed in visuals, text & webcams."

Everything Underworld launches these days, is part of the Riverrun Project.
This means a continuous flow of material which they produce themselves.
It started in 2003 with the book "In the belly of Saint Paul" and since then,
several downloads, soundtracks, web(tv)-shows, 12 inches, a three disc live album,
pictures, artwork & articles were released.
The new album is part of the Riverrun project as well, although it has been released via a regular record label.

Hyde considers Oblivion with Bells to be more than just an album:
"In our vision, it's a portal to the world of Oblivion With Bells",
as it has a brother on the internet, which will evolve continuously.
On the website, more artwork, and free tracks, which did not make it on the album, will become available."

"We knew people would declare us mad if we'd try to explain what we had in mind with Riverrun.
Instead of trying to explain, you just have to do it, so it becomes touchable. This is also applicable here.
We basicly speak another language than the mainstream music industry."

The new album is heavily influenced by the first three Underworld albums;
meaning the period before Darren Emerson joined the band,
after which he gave underworld a techno boost, and left in 2000.

Underworld's new record will be released via Pias....
