Various Artist Compilations
If you noticed, Play.com's Dance section's home page is full of more Various Artist Compilations than you can shake a stick at.
Doesn't this perpetuate the common belief that all Dance (Electronic) music is monotonous, and similar? It only discourages creativity when DJ *insert random noun here* says, "I can always collect royalties if I sound like them, and make my way onto their compilation disque."? (Please move if this doesn't belond, I am a noob here) |
