Anyone else planning on going?

It was a really great time last year, and very well run. The location is great: you're in downtown Chicago rather than Bumfuck, Tennessee or wherever. I think this year's line-up is a little weaker than last year. There are plenty of good bands and many I'd like to see, but I feel like there will be less of a draw. Last year had Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kanye West, and Death Cab for Cutie (meh) as the headliners, and also bands like Wilco and the Flaming Lips. This year we get Pearl Jam, which I guess is ok, but you'd think the Smashing Pumpkins would be the obvious choice. Looking forward to seeing My Morning Jacket (again), the Black Keys, and LCD Soundsystem.

Re: Lollapalooza 2007
Actually, I probably won't go. The line-up seems too weak to devote my whole weekend to. Also I'm a loser and I don't know anyone going. All my friends have poor taste in music or are just poor.

I'm considering going just for a day, either Friday or Sunday, but even that's not worth $80. Is that really worth it to see Daft Punk and LCD Soundsystem?

Spoon are really good live.

If the Daft Punk show is anything like coachella ftom last year, I think it would be worth it. They do a great job of mixing all the songs together.
