Discovery Channel's "Everest: Beyond the Limit"
Has anyone else been watching this? It's a documentary series about a recent expedition up Everest. It's been pretty intense, and they're having an Everest marathon this Sunday from 3pm until 8pm that includes every episode so far. The final episode is next Tuesday at 10pm. You should all watch it. Seriously.

Yes! i got hooked into this lately, but haven't seen all the episodes. It's quite an engaging show, seeing what it takes to acclimatize and survive on Everest.

Re: Discovery Channel's "Everest: Beyond the Limit"
A-ha! I knew someone else out there had to be watching. There was just an Everest marathon of all the episodes yesterday on Discovery. I guess that doesn't do you much good now, but maybe they'll do it again soon. Anyway, the final episode airs this Tuesday night, and it sure looks to be intense. Makes me know with absolute certainty that while I do love adventure trips, I have no desire to try to climb Everest.

I don't have the Discovery channel, but I do highly recommend the documentary "Touching the Void" from a couple of years ago. Amazing film. (I've read the book as well and I'd say the movie is sufficient.) Try not to find anything out about the movie: it's a true story, just rent it and go in blind. Don't even read the box.
