Re: Gotan Project
I've been meaning to ask about their latest album...it's been getting such a big push over here. Big huge posters in the music stores and the like.

The thing is, I got exposed to them through the Peace Orchestra remix, and then bought one of their albums from around the same time. It just seems odd to me from what I know of them that they're receiving a big push like that. When I heard them they weren't that commercially viable - at least, not enough to be pushed like I'm now seeing them pushed. Is there latest album quite different than their previous stuff?

Re: Gotan Project
First, Oh my God, I wish they'd have such big push around here. However, here it's totally different.

Second, their music is great, even though they don't propose anything totally new nor innovative. I enjoyed so much their previous album, so melancholic, so sensual, without unnecesary lyrics.

This new album is quite a bit similar, it keeps all old bandoleon sound and Argentinian music's mood, however, it has some little innovative flags on it, such up-beats tracks.

YOu can go get it, No problems at all.

I highly recommend not to catch them on a trendy lounge-chill out compilation, but in its original albums.

Nothing to loose.
