u/w and tangerine dream
Further to listening to the excellent BBC Radio1 docu re Kraftwork (many thanks lloyd for the posting), I have just listened to my treasured vinyl copy of "Encore" by Tangerine Dream - including the truly supreme side 3 "Coldwater Canyon".

Does anyone else think that this is proto Underworld? - the 20 minute piece of music representing a journey; the sequenced beats, rythms, and repeating improvised melodies conjoured up by 2 guys (Chis Franke and Peter Baumann); while the 3rd member (Edgar Froesse) plays dreamy, free-form electric guitar over the top.

Just a thought - discuss.
