News on Bonus Cd / DVD / Box Set

i don't think the boxset will sell for less than 40quid/80dollars because that's how much boxsets really cost.

it's just a sum of parts:

7-10 for each record
10 for the DVD
10 for the extras

and how much the artist makes out of each part? less than a dollar?

i've seen some boxsets get cheaper... with time. if they're still around.

Wow, 70 bucks through Amazon before shipping. Price HMV is $52 + $7 shipping. So you'll save 10 dollars before shipping by ordering through HMV rather than Amazon.

Yeh, but HMV and Amazon.co.uk have the UK release and that would mean a PAL DVD which would leave many US dirts having to resort to their computers instead of DVD players to enjoy Barking vids. US release would have NTSC DVD.

Feh. All the more reason to do a Blu-ray release. Then you don't have to mess with the stupid NTSC/PAL stuff.

You guys sure are in a rush. We don't know even know all the contents of the Super Deluxe box yet. Details are still forthcoming from UWHQ. There may be price drops or other places to buy it cheaper too; we've still got 2 months.

I have several copies pre-ordered from several places because there is no commitment to buy until the items ship, this way I can pick and choose as more detail become available and prices change. I always pre-order certain artists as soon as available ensuring I get what I want as I have known some release runs sell out in hours of announcement. No rush I know the release date will not come any sooner and I'm quite happy to wait, it's just a practical method that serves me well.

Prices are subject to change but most pre-orders quote the price as the maximum you are expected to pay and may well be lower by the time of completion of purchase, the price could also rise, so early ordering can protect against that.

Maybe, in your opinion, but then nobody is forcing anyone to buy it. I paid more for Electraglide as was my prerogative, 3CD's no flashy box, buyer's remorse, certainly not.

What makes you believe there's something other than 2CD's and a DVD in the Deluxe Box?

Its exorbitant cost? If it is just the 3 discs, then that will be a little bit disappointing for so much money. Also, it says "Box Set" which implies a little more than just a 3-disc jewel case (also, "Super Deluxe").

i read somewhere that the boxset has a book and a special box. so it's 2 cds, a dvd, the book and a special casing.

The NTSC/PAL issue only depends on the make/model of the DVD player used as many support both formats and for some there are "hacks" to enable this functionality.

BR would be nice particularly with Hi Res audio, yum.
