Re: 2 of the lemonworld tracks...
I was just curious about the 'officialness' of the Peggy Sussed mix, and why it wasn't simply a (Live Jam) like the others. I really like it -- more than the original.

As for the riverrun releases -- which are pretty reasonably priced for what you get -- I don't understand how you can complain about such a rare treat. I'd dish out more than 5 pounds for a peek at some of the early work-in-progress tunes that later became Juanita / Kiteless / To Dream of Love back in '94-'95. But I understand not everyone would enjoy that quite as much as I would.

I don't see the diff. mixes as Demo mixes at all and in fact, i wouldn't be surprised if the Peggy Sussed (Main Mix Final) is part of the free "remix" ep to be given away to RRx3 buyers. Sidenote about the title of the mix on Peggy Sussed, it's obvious to me that this name is coming from a CDR UW have sent to the label and not the final name of the mix. "Final" will not be in the name of the mix when the track does uh, finally come out.

Anyway, I'd gladly pay for as many tracks as UW want to sell me because they're evolving before our eyes in a way i didn't think possible. If you're a fan of other bands of their size, you know how rare it is to be handed live sets and jams for free with some regularity. New Order, for example, my other musical love, don't give their fans shit, play the same exact sets and basically relenquish control of their product despite their history of doing the opposite. Long story short, there's never anyone making you buy any product. There's hardly a song recorded that you can't get for free from any artist. I don't feel i'm being fleeced or deceived at all and personally can't wait to shell out my 7USD for the next RR project.
i like the direction underworld is going in- it seems to be more influenced by krautrock (progrock) and seems to be more keyboard-based in areas. maybe i'm just hallucinating, but i swear i heard a church organ and mellotron on that first track on the radio show.

Favorite part of the show is hands down sandwiching "Rez" between the James Holden Tracks, esp. when Karl says, "I hear the sound of popping cans...in the dark." Makes me want to grab a cold one every time. "Rez" layered with the other track/sounds is one of the best mixes I've heard of this song ever. Nice one guys! Also loved the version of "Peggy Sussed" and both of the ambient tracks, esp. the one with the vocal sample.
