Re: U2 - Mofo
Its in yannicks pants
heheSeriously though, there isn't one... Its a myth... From what we know, Underworld once collaborated with U2 back in 1996/1997, but the project they were working on wasn't really cohesive and it was never finished. So its been put on the same shelf as the track "Laughing Tortoise". Mike |

Re: U2 - Mofo
Was it really "Mofo" that they were working on? i thought that's just because the track was playing in the background of the great interview where Bono and UW talk about the boys jamming and Bono riding around on a truck singing.
Maybe since "Mofo" is so "electronic", it's an easy conclusion to draw that UW would remix such a track? Nonetheless, the project was shelved because they culdn't get beyond the point of the collaboration sounding more like UW remixes U2 or vice versa, rather than a unique hybrid. Or so they say!

Re: U2 - Mofo
according to UW in the last broadcast, U2 is holding it up. It was MOFO. I'm fairly certain Karl has confirmed this before too. the mix was done, it's never been released. no one save u2 and uW have it. search previous posts throughout the years here for more information.

Re: U2 - Mofo
I have an interview somewhere on my computer (it's an mp3) where it has karl and bono talking about the song -
it did happen, something was recorded, but rick thought it sounded too much like an 'underworld remix of a u2 song' and not a collaboration between the two... but bono said that he heard the 'finished' version, and that it sounded quite good if i remember correctly - the song "mofo" did indeed stem from these sessions, but to what extent - who knows... but there's definitely no remnants of uw's input in that final album version |
