I ment the official CD single. I don't collect promos.

This quote is from the press release linked in the first post so it is quite likely that the CD single will have the Radio Edit, two of the mixes listed above and possibly the video.

I hope the single will include Parc, and at least 2 remixes. I don't think video will be on it, cos Crocodile single hasn't got video.

I doubt Parc will be on it since Parc is being bundled with the Japanese/Possible-Web-Release EP.

Parc will probably not be a feature of the CD single simply because it will reduce the sales potential of Bells! The Bells! limiting it to a single track that won't be available elsewhere (Holding The Moth - Audiojack remix) (which will probably suck anyhow), if a video is included it will not be of a high quality however it will serve as a plug for the "bonus DVD" on Bells! The Bells!, there is simply no reason to make it available through Underworldlive.com otherwise.

I was going to start a rant about how we are being anally raped by Karl & Ricks release policies however upon reflection I realise that it may well be driven by key members of this forum by the open sharing copyrighted material... "I don dis mix clix to download" with no PPL in sight, as a former lurker prior to signing up I have witnessed invite trading for Oink as it was, celebration of Demonoid's return, Waffles/What and what to download where. Open discussion of file sharing is bound to bring dismay for the artists in question, pretty much a kick in the teeth. For supposed fans you have to admit it's pretty disgusting.

So the lame releases are about cash, surprised?

I kind of agree in a sense, if not in such strong terms.

Music sharing is a fact of life, sadly. And there is a difference between "supposed fans" and "real fans". The real fans won't profit from the band by stealing the music, or if they do it is simply as a stop-gap until they can buy the released product - so it is an advanced "preview" if you like, because they are impatient.

A large percentage of the people who post on here buy every version of every release available, for the sake of completeness of their UW collection. There are very few people indeed who actually try to promote the free sharing of commercial UW releases on these boards, and if they do they usually get a metaphorical whack round the head.

The sharing of commercially-released material on Dirty is strongly discouraged. Any links to a commercially-released product are removed. End of.

Secondly, I don't think these are necessarily "lame releases" - I think it is more about not having a formal distributor organised for stuff outside of Japan. There may be copyright issues that we don't know about in the "rest of world" that just don't apply to Japan.

In any event it is pretty easy to pick stuff up from HMV Japan or other similar online stores. Yes, it sucks to have to pay import duty, and that may push the price over the edge for people on limited budgets.

I dunno why you think the Holding the Moth remix will "probably suck anyway", though.

If Parc won't be on the single, Loads Of Birds should be.
