Re: The Mixmag 25th birthday cover shoot
over the past year or so, mixmag has got back to something like its old form as far as the writing's concerned - it's got its attention-span back after it's early-millenium wobble and trance-fixation. i was never a fan of muzik - it was too quick to jump on a bandwaggon imo - or if there was nothing going on it was always trying to create The Next Big Thing (taking its lead from melody maker...)
mixmag isn't what it was; but then again; nor is 'the scene'...

Re: The Mixmag 25th birthday cover shoot
yep its artists from the last 25 years of mixmag....
Kraftwerk were before that, and also don't do these sort of things either.... i also think it includes people that are still relevant now to some degree - hence no orbital, leftfield and ppl like that... that line up probably includes some people that are second choices, they needed to fill a quota and some people there certainly are filler Karl is always good for a soundbite, and was and still is relevant, and Mixmag have been good to and fans of Underworld for years... Depeche Mode - no they shouldn't be there - mainly because they are not specifically a Dance / Electronic act... they haven't really shaped dance music, Dance music has shaped them
