kevin shields has been saying this since at least 04. the album is always in progress and coming soon. tbh, it sounds like the first release is going to be a compilation of old shit that they've finished and i'm guessing the disc of new work is going to do a lot to deflate their cache amongst indie-rockers.
I don't know man, Kevin Shields seems a little too mad-scientistish to drop out poo. We'll see.
