Re: recent purchases, downloads, etc.
i love the Cyrus album. but it's borderline too minimal. if you loved the vibe of dubstep 2004-2005, you'll probably appreciate it. otherwise, it may seem totally pointless. also, the bass is so low that i can't hear any of it on headphones unless i'm in a very quiet room (ironically).

the pinch LP is very boring in the face of what Peverelist and Burial are doing with the sound. it's ok, the Vocal disc is a complete waste, the instrumentals disc sounds like it would have been great a year ago, now it's just sort of blah.

could be my interest in dubstep has fallen off but some producers are still pushing an interesting sound.

I discovered dubstep with first Burial LP, so I don't not how to make an idea. I read a comment on the RA review of "From the shadow" which says that we need a hi-fi system which provides a range of bass between 40 & 50 hz to hear the vibe like it is, I think mine reaches 60hz, I still need to check this on the notice.

I listened to it last week, the vocal versions surprised me by their kind of poppy feeling, with this special sound behind them, the Instrumental is kinda 50/50 interesting, it's interesting to hear all the work without voices, but I think I would have prefered new material. Overall, the LP is not a flawless masterpiece but is still good, especially for it's own atmosphere which fits really well with the title.
