Re: Underworld @ Red Rocks
I would like to post two responses that I received from not only the promoters of the event, but the managers of Underworld in response to the open letter I posted, along with my reply.
I think it is important to see how much effort they put into satisfying the customer (and this excludes the free CD that Underworld themselves offered up!) From P.L. @ LiveNation (Concert Producers) Quote:

Re: Underworld @ Red Rocks
dude, that gig so ruled!!! overall i'm gonna have to say this experience was quite memorable over the warfield set. despite the venue change my mates and i made the most of our stay in denver... our host showed us around the area, got to check out red rocks (for kicks), the coors brewery, and the university of colorado to catch a little frisbee action. needless to say, seeing underworld properly punctuated the whole trip. our group added up to about 12 heads by the time we hit the fillmore... we were all glowing afterwards on the most natural of highs
i was really digging on karl's guitar hero esque performance... would love to see more of that kind of shite down the road. anyway...just got back into L.A. and am not looking forward to the 6hr. drive back to S.F. but, the memories from last night are still fresh and i'm looking foward to their company on the way home. big hugs and much love to the boys for keeping it real and providing a clear map of inspiration for days to come. |

Re: Underworld @ Red Rocks
Anyone who didn't go to Underworld in Denver just because they weren't playing at Red Rocks anymore: fuck you. This show was amazing and even better because I was about 20 feet away from Rick, Karl, and Darren. They were on their A game and upped it a multiple of 10, and the Fillmore Auditorium was banging and rocking until it exploded. The set list as best as I can remember:
1. Dirty Epic 2. Crocodile 3. Dark Train 4. Beautiful Burnout (I think) 5. Rez/Cowgirl 6. Glam Bucket (I think) 7. Two Months Off 8. Spikee 9. Five Ft. Five 10. Born Slippy .NUXX (non-'03 version) 11. King of Snake 12. Pearls Girl 13. Moaner Encore Jumbo Oh yeah, Karl had an announcement before the show. Anyone who bought a ticket for the Denver concert would be receiving in the mail a copy of their new album when it comes out! FUCK YEAH!!! Take that all you who pissed and moaned and dropped out of the show! The show was made all the better because everyone there wanted to see Underworld so badly. My friend Jeff from work came down with three of his friends (he's crazy and it was awesome to have him there), and I mingled with people who flew from Iowa and Nebraska (I think) and a couple of guys who drove, not flew, from Georgia. Damn. That's dedication right there. Yes, yes, you should've been there.

Re: Underworld @ Red Rocks
Who was the dirt heading out of Seattle this morning at 7:45? We shared a plane, I accidentally bumped into your foot with my suitcase when I showed up to the gate, and said sorry. Didn't notice the "OWB" shirt until you passed me on the plane.
