Re: Daft Punk US Tour Rumor?
The Toronto show was insane bat shit !
great venue. wicked sound. S&B were great as opening dj's. the Rapture...meh.
once the lights went down for Daft Punk, the energy in the 5000 + room went off like ive never felt before.
Highlights...Burnin. Stardust mixed in.
the lightshow...OMGWTFBBQ !
It's been a very long time since Toronto's had anything that felt ' ravey ".
this was it.

10/10.

Re: Daft Punk US Tour Rumor?
Woow.. Daft Punk live is like getting into Magic Mountain for the first time.
I didn't know Daft Punk was a teenager band though!!! We were kind of shock of the youngster crowd, athough they dont rock as bad as the oldy ones!

i almost die when i saw those beautiful fancy silver helmets AH-AH coming out of the piramyd..that pyramid, the red laser and they don't miss anything..absolutely-fucking-great. Beautiful ahhhhhhh.

I havent dance that much in a while..i'm a fan even if their music is retarded sometimes, it all about the LED's . love it.

Good old ravey shit. I agree.

I think that's because of two things:

1) the Discovery album ...or actually "one more time".
2) Pitchforkmedia doing (basically) a complete 180 on Daft Punk b/c of the popularity of Ed Banger records. They hated 'Human After All', but now that 'that sound' is popular...

I actually met this chick at a record store who was a couple of years younger than myself at a record store before the Daft show in Seattle. She was super pumped for it, b/c 'it was their last tour ever' (I don't know where that came from) ... and she had "both their albums". I didn't have the heart to tell her that they made more than two (5 if you count Daft Club & Alive...) -> but I got the really strong sense that she was only into DP b/c of #1 & #2

sort of in a cute-sie naive way - know what I mean? Like, she asked me if "Talkie Walkie" was good, b/c she had never heard of Air before... I was like, you have to get "Moon Safari"

I think that a lot of those "kids" at the Daft Punk shows (in the US) are like that.

...which is funny b/c those "kids" are probably only 4-6 years younger than me! (unless you really mean like underage teens)

thank god I found electronic music at an early age!

They were awesome at Lollapalooza, even their set was almost the same as it was a year ago.
