Re: song that made me believe again
i think what's really drawn me into The Arcade Fire is the subject matter running throughout their stuff (i.e. nostalgia over childhood, growing up, etc.). there's some very poignant writing on Funeral.
The Go! Team are fun. not really comparable lyrically though. |

The point here when starting this thread, was precisely to let us know what song/singer/album and so on... made us feel something different from the other music. |

Re: song that made me believe again
i was bummed out about music for a while until i bought the new gorillaz albumn. that albumn really made me excited for music again... the albumn before that was the out hud albumn and grand national... that has basically been the last year of insiring music for me. (plus i got into the dandy warhols a lot, but their older albumns)

Arcade Fire: Just don't get it. Not bad, but I don't like their sound.
The Go! Team: Interesting sound but limited and the various songs don't have their own personality. Lately I've been geeking on 'Anywhere on this Road' by Lhasa. |
