Re: Tour in Switzerland
I wonder if you have noticed this but the lives seems less energic than those in the 90s. Also the songs they play are slower for example Cowgirl, Dark Train. Do you think it is positive ?

I've been to 3 shows and they were all from 2000 and I went fucking mental, so it can't really be negative.

Underworld have said many times that they don't use setlists but instead adjust the songs/tempo to the audience. For example when they played in the cocoon club, they decided to slow everything down by ~5 bpm to make it sound more like house.
Another reason might be that in the 90s many radio rips and radio CDs were released as bootlegs (1996 Reading, or the European Club Gig). The first listen may suggest that they have excellent sound quality but they are mastered for radio, dynamic compressed to death etc. and thus might sound 'better', 'louder' and full of energy. The recent official live recordings are more neutral and you really have to turn the volume up to feel the punch.

But people who where at live shows could possibly say more about this topic.
