Re: Zodiac trailer - New David Fincher film
I got a chance to see this... i really liked it. My one complaint is very tired use of source music, but other than that I really dug on it. It's long but totally worth it.
and i didn't read the book but understand it follows pretty closely.

Re: Zodiac trailer - New David Fincher film
Such a fine and engrossing film. Damn that was a great experience.
I screened it earlier this morning privately at a cinema with a friend who is a projectionist. It's always nice to indulge in the luxury of an empty auditorium from time to time. The film was long, but didn't really drag and I wish it were longer at times too. Downey Jr. was great as was Ruffalo and even Gyllenhall. Fincher is the real star. This is perhaps his most accomplished film in what it achieves. At times the film feels like a novel. There is no one main through line as far as character arcs go. Characters, or rather people move in and out of the narrative with an ebb and flow that feels at times like a novel. Last edited by grady; 03-04-2007 at 03:44 AM. |
