Tickets will go on sale on Sunday 1st April, most probably at 9am.

The ticket price is confirmed as £145 plus £5 'administration fee'.

As an anti-touting measure, all those wanting to buy a ticket for the festival will need to pre-register. This will mean supplying your contact details and a passport standard photo. Each ticket sold will feature the photograph of the person in whose name it is registered and will be non-exchangeable.
Anyone wanting to buy a ticket will need to register between Thursday 1st and Wednesday 28th February 2007. You will be able to register both ‘on-line’ and by post.

There will be no charge for ‘on-line’ registration but postal applications will need to be accompanied by two First Class stamps to cover postage and processing. Forms will be available for download from the registration site which will go live on February 1st, as will the ‘on-line’ registration site. Forms will also be available from February 1st from all Millets stores; Millets will donate 10p for each form issued to WaterAid.

The full details of the pre-registration process are expected to be announced by Glastonbury Festival around the middle of January - the details will be on this page when available.

Thanks for the update Lukey. Looks like it is gonna be easier to get into Fort Knox than get into Glasto this year

I'm hoping to make it though.

Re: glasto 2007 news
oh i dunno, there isnt a first come first served on the pre registering thing, and i reckon it'll cut down on the touting so more tickets therefore available for punters.

also two years ago, i was out the country (plane delayed in boston) for the whole of the on sale date. all my mates got tickets, and (thanks to ally) i got two perfectly legit tickets at a later date for me and my brother anyway. i think you just have to be prepared, and put in enough effort. ie hitting redial on landline and every other mobile you can get your hands on. oh, and having broadband.

The registration page is live now - www.glastonburyregistration.co.uk

Tickets will be £145 + £5 booking fee + £4 postage
Car parking tickets are £10, campervan/caravan tickets are £50
First onsale date April 1, resale date April 15

I absolutely love Glastonbury, but I think it might not be in the budget for this year

Re: glasto 2007 news
So if youre going in a campervan, the price is 204 pounds.

I'll not be going. I don't think i'll be registering either. too much temptation to blow it.

i can go to other european festivals that i've never been to. 9 years in row was enough.

Sziget Hungary? Exit Serbia? Open'er Poland?

3 day ticket for the Open'er in Poland is 36quid including camping...

I highly recommend Fusion Festival in the north-east of Germany, end of June. Four days of nice atmosphere, lots of barbecue, an interesting spectrum of performances and whatever you make of it. And all that for just EUR 40,00 + fees + shipping, incl. camping and funny "street" names on the camping site.

(Sorry for spamming the Glasto thread but since you brought up the question of alternatives...)
