Who knows, maybe the download link posted on the other forum was sent by PM to people on here - that would seem the fair thing to do, wouldn't it?
I am sure you are fully aware of the protocols concerning the sharing of bootlegged concerts through Dirty. Links are never posted on this forum, or if they are they are disabled. RTSR is the habitual sharing place for UW boots. However, it is not the only place gigs are shared, as all members of RTSR know full well, and members of Dirty are under no obligation to share their material solely and uniquely through RTSR. If permission has been given to share, there is no reason why ndrwrld shouldn't make it knows that he has this on Dirty so that anyone interested could contact him directly. How he worded his response to the moderator's habitual, if a tad over-zealous, reaction is really neither here nor there imo, and gets into the area of splitting hairs.

Nice to see you posting here with a bit more frequency though. You're Stimpee's friend from the Orbital forum, aren't you? We met at ILT.

Re: toronto oct 2002 gig
I know the rules, and I wasn't asking for a link to be posted (after all, I am a member of the other forum)

Yes, that was me at ILT. Great night, but landing in Brussels from Toronto at noon that day then going there without even having a nap was perhaps not my best idea ever. Looking forward to ILT this year (KRAFTWERK!) and thankfully it will be a shorter commute, since I'm now living in Eindhoven, NL.

Re: toronto oct 2002 gig
i wonder how many dirts on here, who may take my actions ( having someone post a link to the Tor oct 2002 gig on another forum ) as wrong or immoral. i didnt acquire this gig from RTSR...ive never traded anything there...and i didnt post a link anywhere on DIRTY to this gig.
i wonder, the very same people who ive ' put off ' by doing this...how many of you have ever shared ANY official Underworld songs ( or albums for that matter ) on any p2p programs.
EVER.
this gig hasnt, nor does it seem, will ever be publicly released .
and someone gave me permission...it wasnt stimpee...maybe hes just pissed that ive done this before him.
either way, im not gonna answer to anyone for what ive done.
ive just made a shitload of Toronto peeps extremely happy, allowing them the access to a gig they never imagined was recorded.
if i get a PM from Karl Rick or Darren, and only them, showing their displeasure in my actions, i will sit in the corner for a month, and consider my bad bad actions.
i will also weep.

Re: toronto oct 2002 gig
now if only someone would eq the bass properly and do some minor work, this would be worth listening to, until then, this is all hot air for a basically intolerable listening experience.

i don't think anyone felt like their toes were stepped on, i just think they didn't want the links shared here or even discussed here. thats the point of the trading board.

enough about Toronto anyway, i want that NYC 2002 gig in soundboard quality. oh, and Glastonbury 1999 from a source that doesn't have FM interference.

thanks.

i think stimpee's problem was that you were teasing everyone here and some of us had no way for us to get it (i don't know about tribe). and what resulted (and would even more) is just a bunch of people begging for it due to your post, which makes it his problem

Re: toronto oct 2002 gig
wasnt teasing at all.
i rarely if ever go on RTSR.
EVER.
so how could i possibly know who does, and doesnt have this gig.
someone gave it to me, outside RTSR.
i saw the disks...they were in my dvd player...ive been waiting 4 years for this piece of music.
i never told anyone here how i got it.
i then asked, and was given permission to share this...outside DIRTY.
and i did.
then Stimpee did some digging, and found out my Tribiliscious friends were oh so hungry for this.
and judging from the thank yous, im glad i did it.
if i ruffled some feathers, so be it.
i wasnt looking to start a riot.
looks like i did.

I'm sorry but I can't quite see how this makes it "Stimpee's problem". If ndrwrld is sharing this and has been given permission to share it then I am sure he will share it wherever he can with fans. If Stimpee is producing a better quality version of it and releasing it on RTSR at some stage, so much the better. There is no property in bootlegs. RTSR don't "own" them any more than anyone downloading something from Dime or Oink does. Unless it is the person who recorded it claiming "ownership" and putting restrictions on sharing, which is another matter altogether.

Yes it would have been nice to have had a better version of this sooner rather than later. But if the RTSR crew haven't got the time to work on this and release it, I don't see the problem in releasing a lower quality version in the interim if that is what people want. And they clearly do.

I'm working on it.
I don't know if i'm gonna do a complete "master" like the HMH gig, but at least i'll try and fix the bassproblem.
