tokyo woes
Hi-

I'm very new to this forum so forgive me if I'm asking you all to repeat yourselves---

I feel like I missed out so unbelievably huge by not being here when the Tokyo Cds were on sale. I'm kind of disgusted that they're on eBay for $165USD, but I really want to hear the show. I've missed out on so many new songs, and I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do.

So, I need advice. Should I sit tight and wait for an official update/release through the website? Any chance of the show being released digitally like the riverrun projects? Or, should I dig around through trading rings and see if I can get it like that? This may sound odd, but I really feel like I should pay for this. I think its amazing that underworld are doing all of this online "fans-only" stuff, and I'd like to keep that up and support their moves.

So, I'm at a loss. I really want to hear it. Let me know.

Re: tokyo woes
monochrome, welcome and thanks for your sincere post. you can support UW by buying the RiverRun projects and the new album when it finally comes out but do not pay more than $20 for the Tokyo show on CD. Find the concert on a Torrent site or on Soulseek and wait for the chance that the band still have some unsold copies they could list on Ebay one day or sell through UW live.

Re: tokyo woes
ya, paying 160usd on ebay doesn't support the band at all. buy the riverruns and their books if you want to support them!

Re: tokyo woes
since this show isnt widely released (meaning you can't buy it anywhere now except on ebay) i say get it/download it/copy it from a friend... just get it however you can. its an exceptional show and you probably dont want to miss out on this one.

as for paying for it, there really isnt much of an option here. its not for sale anymore.

You can find a webradio 96kbps version of the show over at the yahoo Underworld trading group RTSR.

the interesting thing is that the tracklisting from RTSR release (ogg) is different from the official listing @ underworldlive.

Can anyone help me understand why?
thanks.

Re: tokyo woes
Probably you are confusing it with the broadcast from lemonworld. Look out for Tokyo in the name, this should be the 96kbps-mp3-split-up dirtyradio broadcast.
