i havent seen either live, but both are amazing musicians. EITS have the best sense of melody in this post rock business, and mogwai have moved to a sublime territory of beauty and violence on mr beast, which obviously has grown on me quite a lot.

album art looks like a hentai monster just came all over the table though

I have to confess that I detest James Blunt-Changed-My-Name-From-Blount-Cos-It-Sounds-Too-Posh with such a vehemence that the Brit Awards practically made me want to run out of the house and stab someone. Anyone would have done.

And VF - chode is such an ace word! I am adding that to my vocabulary. Ta.

As if he wasn't appalling enough already. And I now have to hate Carrie Fisher by proxy, who apparently took him in and gave him therapy and soup. But for her we might have been spared. I know I'm being unreasonable, but I don't care.

...

Hoping for the best with the new Mogwai stuff but I've only heard Folk Death '95 which was unremarkable to say the least. They're worthing catching live though.
