probably not at number 1 or 2. Snare's Rossz Csillag Alatt Született album was one of the most orignal records of last year IMO.

well maybe if you'd been arsed to vote yourself then some of the albums you liked may have made the list

the list was voted for by the people here on dirty so is representative of what the majority of people here liked during the year

and besides if you look at some of these polls you'll see most of the albums above doing pretty well on them...

Re: the 2005 dirty poll: the results
in the end there could be only one winner - a well derserved round of applause to mr stevens and his magnificent come on feel the illinoise album.

i was surprised to see bloc party do so well, not that it's not a great album, its just that it din't seem to get much attention here on dirty during the year

disappointments for me was that no else voted for roots manuva, king creosote or hal but there you are and biggest surprise was hardly anyone voted for isolee after it got lots of praise during the year...

which venetian snares album of 2005...they released like 3 albums this year...if it isn't more...I'm not sure but its was a fuckin lot.

My top albums didn;t really make the list...like Reuben, Buck 65, Death From Above 1979, Million Dead, Pete Philly and Perquisite, Every Time I Die, Dalek, Minus The Bear. Crap! But Bloc Party and LCD did..but thats obvious.

EDIT: O...Reuben - Very fast very dangerous did make the list....number 43 HELL YEAH

I hear a lot of things about Sufjan Stevens, but I myself am not familiar. Would anybody care to tell me what the big deal is?
