Just got their first album for my birthday (thanks Robert) and it's for me the perfect music. Beats are hot, easy listening tunes and summer-vibe. I LOVE IT!

since i saw them play to 300 people in Manchester back in december i've been in love with bloc party. Had only heard helicopter at the time, and the energy of it persuaded me against my better judgement to pay a tout £25 for ticket. They were simply fantastic, the combination of swirling melodic guitars making such a beautiful racket backed up by a very tight rhythm section made it such a great gig that i immediately downloaded every song i could find.

since then i've bought silent alarm and its still not left my multichanger car cd player

love the lyrics and they've such a distinctive sound which just leaves me smiling

defo my album of the year so far by a considerable distance

really enjoyed their set @ glasto, shame the sound from the other stage was poor and the fact that the bassist was too high in the mix and the lead guitarist too low. small compliants as they still rocked, and can't wait till i see them in October

had this album pretty much constantly in my rotation since it came out. from the opening refrains of ba-na-na skit to songs like pull up the people, hombre, 10 dollar and the wonderful amazon i find myself singing (rapping?) along at the top of my voice.
