there's defineately more than one vocal, its sort of a duet, sometimes the treated voice, sometimes dry and sometimes both together.its gonna be more layered than this radio rip suggests i think.

Ooooooh I love it when Underworld goes "intelligent" like on STITI

Anyway, listening to the better recording, I'm much more positive about the vocoder, it sounds pretty bad-ass. Still I REALLY love the lyrics with his NORMAL voice on Bang The Poll too...

Re: It's all back Pete Tong (new Underworld - Electronic Part One))
just listened to the track and also somewhat underwhelmed - its alright but it doesn't stand out or anything and its nothing i'd rave about - and i've got it in my winamp playlist on random and by chance it was followed by treva whateva's dustbowl - now that's a sexy groove that made the UW effort seem even less impressive - but hey, that's just my opinion and everyone here is entitled to theirs...

and if it is a 25 min track then i'd need to hear all of it to really judge it - but to be honest my track record with UW's 20+ minute songs is not good as thing in a book is about 18 mins too long for me...

25 mins is obviously too long for an album, maybe we have to think in an other direction, like an audio dvd or something i don't know, i do remember they reacted strangely when someone asked if they had plans for a new dvd

it has to be something more than just a new album, i can feel it

i though this track was music from the soundtrack they're working on and not a new 'studio' album - and the thing with soundtracks is that the music sometimes doesn't work outside the context of the film...

Im really not feeling this track at all, vocoder sounds daft, mkaes the voclas to hard to hear. I really hope this aint an album track, its making everything on AHDO sound like Dubno.

Sorry kids, aint gonna praise it just coz this is the UW forum.

don't you think it's a bit early to hear an (almost) completed song from the soundtrack, they are not recording for that long and with the gabriel yared involvement it probably won't sound like this

i can be completely wrong though
