Yes, you are spot on. That might be very much true, according to the history and facts you have right. Good job making sense of it. Sound very much plausible after reading that book I mentioned earlier. This can be very much true.

Listening to both mixes again, I wouldn't be surprised if the Hard mix was a Darren production because it does bear resemblance to some other UW remixes of other artists from that early period; while the Soft mix sounds very much like the sort of Rick productions we still hear today.
