just saw Lyrics Born live again and again he kicked all kinds of ass. His backing band really energize and funk up all his songs plus giving them the looseness to play much more than a scratch solo here and there. If he hits up your city and you're into him at all, you owe it to yourself to make it out.

Also, Pigeon John opens... he is also really cool... in addition to his DJ he also has a drummer supplying the occasional solo and flavor... he's got the single catchiest verse on all of the new Blackalicious album if you ask me. (i said my name is p-p-p-p-pigeon johnny, stuttered a little bit and felt like a big dummy)
