Re: If Underworld did separate gigs.......
In years past, UW played a lot of radio gigs from Lemonworld, etc with some eclectic setlists...demo tracks, ambient experiments, downtempo versions.

Why not perform a set of the deeper, ambient or experimental tracks live via internet stream? I'd pay to see that. Not the same as "being there", but maybe this sort of format suits the tunes better than a club, theater or festival setting, wherein many of the crowd are waiting for the hits.

I believe Rick said its simple economics: it wouldn't fill seats. After the Roseland gig in 2010, he told ndrwrld and I that if we could get 5000 tix sold, they would play any show we wanted.

Oh yeah, I think Underworld vs. The Misterons christmas 2007 show is the epitome of that. Cherry Pie, Peach Tree, Oich Oich, Little Speaker.

If Kylie can do it, Underworld can do it!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anti_Tour

Quote:
The Anti Tour was the thirteenth concert tour by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue, part of the "K25" project.[1][2] In contrast to Minogue's previous tours, the singer only performed b-sides, demos and rare tracks, on a short strip of concerts in smaller venues, to a reduced crowd and intimate setting.
