it comes out to 9 gigs, in MPG2 format,

will have to compress them, because i don't
have the bandwidth to upload them.

maybe a preview version.

hope you guys enjoy these,
i finally made a straight preview of these 2 concerts,
am uploading to the ftp site now.

the ftp site, under :
-> uploads -> eurokeenes 98 VHS
-> rotterdam 98 VHS

both are 720x480 AVI files, about 700-800Megs.

these are not split previews, but just the entire video converted to show you the video
quality, and sound.

they will be redone as proper DVDs at some point.

check them out and enjoy.
feel free to repost on the rstr tracker, because that
will be easier for people to get.

comments welcome.

Re: Full Length Concert Vids other than Everything, Everything?
Initial impression is that audio quality seems a little worse than other sets of the time, but only slightly. That said what can you expect of a 15 year old VHS recording? Thanks for sharing, and I definitely want one of those shirts she shows at the start!

i haven't posted a clean version of the audio yet,
once you remove the hiss, it's not that bad.

Re: Full Length Concert Vids other than Everything, Everything?
The soundboard audio from that 1998 Eurokeenes concert was posted on UWlive.com at some point and the quality of that was very good. I always wanted to try and sync that up with the TMF video I had at some point but by the time this was feasible for me, the VHS had kind of disintegrated (it was a copy already).
That is definitely my favourite UW videos. It's a great concert with some blinding versions of Dark Train, Cowgirl, Dirty Guitar and Nuxx, and Karl just goes completely bonkers during Pearls Girl twitching around on the floor of the stage. ]

Edit: someone seems to already have done this on youtube:
Still would be nice to combine the soundboard recording with a slightly better quality version of the video.

I *think* that i got that up on the tracker. It might have been the new one that just turned up though. If it isnt, thats definitely something that should happen. Heck with modern video encoding we couldbhave two sound tracks, one original and one the sound board in the same file.

Which has been taken down?

I did the original (MTV vid+Soundboard audio) combination years ago, which is why it's been split up by track, as YouTube had a 10 minute cap on videos. I thought about going back and redoing it, but after the cap was removed, one of the other regulars else uploaded the full show in a higher quality, so I kind of lost interest. And my account has been zapped a few times since then, so I'm weary about risking further infringements and thus a potential account closing (Amusingly, Lopavent (Love Parade) has been flagging the Lowlands video - another video I'd like to redo - non-stop).

The Youtube Link that I quoted. "This video contains content from UMG, who has blocked it on copyright grounds."

Do you have a new link you can perhaps pm?

Ah, I see. I wasn't aware that it was blocked in some countries. I can't even remember if I have the video files any longer, but if I do, I can probably upload them to RTSR.
