Born Slippy.Nuxx, Glastonbury 1996
Does anyone know what Karl is saying at the end of this performance of Nuxx?
It's a great performance (one of the best I've heard) and I've worked out a bit of it, but then he refers to something happening and I can't work out what it is.

"We've got to finish now, but you've given us a wicked time here, you should be proud of yourselves, this weekend everybody in England should have been at Glastonbury, as yet another ........... so it's brilliant for us all, all of us here .... from the UK to be doing it here with you today, and I ain't creepin' or nothing, brilliant, top night out, thankyou."

Does anyone know the missing words, or the event he's referring to?

Cheers

Underworld did not play Glastonbury in 1996.

There was no Glastonbury in 1996.

Very well. There is a gig on RTSR labelled as Glastonbury 1996.
The recording I'm talking about must be from another year.
Any help?!

"this weekend everybody in England should have been at Glastonbury, that's yet another dance thing that got pulled ... so it's brilliant for us all, all of us here, us mates from here from the UK .."

but I also have it as "1996-00-00 Glastonbury"

That recording is mislabeled, apparently. It's 1996-06-22 Organic Festival in San Bernadino, California.

It doesn't add up that he would be telling a US audience they should have been at a UK festival that wasn't on that year.

Underworld played Glasto in '98, could the gig be a recording from then instead?

In which case, what is the "dance thing" that was pulled that Karl is referring to?

Trust me. It's Organic Festival. I already compared it to the verified Organic radio broadcast, and that's what it is.

They were playing at Organic the same weekend that they would have been playing at Glastonbury, had it not been cancelled. That why he's saying everybody in England should have been at Glastonbury this weekend, but they're not. Instead, it's brilliant that they're playing here with the US people.

Thanks for that clarification. Guess someone heard the "Glastonbury" in there and mistook this as the concert's location.
