Re: Barking 2 (origins)
I think it was only available on the Live Here Now recording

...there might have been a snippet of it waaaaay back in one of the early live broadcasts, but I doubt it

It could go either way. Perhaps R&K will weigh in on it one day.

Personally, Scribble is so much more (imho) focused and better than the earlier versions of YDS that it's personally hard to believe that the fellas didn't feel some sense of improvement as they got these tracks back (and for what we know, further tweaked them afterward).

That was actually the point I was trying to make. We've heard a lot of demo-like tracks played during concerts, but that didn't meant that they were fully finished products. Remember Darc? A lot of dirts were dying to hear a full studio version of that track. So we were pretty excited about the fact that it would be on The Bells, The Bells. But when it was actually released it just turned out to be an edited version of the live HMH-track. I agree that it is nice to have it on an original CD and not as just another mp3 on my HD, but it shows that when they are trying out new tracks live it doesn't necessarily mean that any full versions of those tracks exist..

Re: Barking 2 (origins)
Barking is the finished album

leave it at that

who knows what Dubno looked like, or STITI before release... tracks evolve, either with or without A/P help

this is the album - and this is how its being delivered.

there might be unworked / unfinished versions, but these will never see the light of day

personally as a fan i really only want finished original tracks, improvs, live versions mean nothing, if its been committed to 'hard disk' then its finished and imo, the only version worth having - this is the version the boys want everyone else to hear.

i suspect that if Barking is a success we might see a remixed album... but who knows... wait til it comes out

i still can't wait... anyone have a copy yet?

How can you be so sure? I agree that they wouldn't release crap versions on a cd... but mp3 through the internet, YES they have done that, EX: King of Snake.

What about Rowla/Cherry Pie, Rez/Cowgirl, Dark Train/Dark and Long? All of these are reworked versions of tracks.

My point is: don't be certain of what the boys will do. I like that they keep me guess, even if I am not so happy with the results.

Re: Barking 2 (origins)
what i'm saying is - that i don't expect uw to bang out different versions of finished tracks like they used to, things have changed...

like it or not, fan boy versions are not what they are about...

i don't expect an ep or uneditted versions appearing anywhere soon

I may be proved wrong,

too much music at the present time will likely distort the impact of this impending album, so why dilute the album with unpopular / unfamiliar tracks to confuse the general mass public for which this album is clearly aimed...??
