Not much to say against The Mission... Children is a classic. :)

Btw... Friday? Saturday?
Not the coolest, perhaps they qualify as a guilty pleasure? Fantastic live band back in the day.
Not so far for Friday, really p*ssed off with this, I could've bought this in a shop without the pre-order, who can I complain to?....apart from you guys.

I take it all back...well actually I don't, but I've got my box & shopper & dgboy shirt, just now.
Huzzah!
I'll leave it wrapped for the cycle home, very excited though.
Had a relentless day at work, so this has lifted the spirits no end.
Good luck for everyone else's deliveries, especially the Dublinites.

no postman means no mail. any kind of mail. i don't now if he's ill or something.
maybe he's nursing that weekend off.

Next week? NEXT MONTH?
I've been full of anticipated joy since I pre-ordered the box set & art print from uwlive on July 27, like a child looking forward to Christmas, but seriously, as I write this there's almost nothing left of this feeling. I even don't know Barking yet, because I wanted to enjoy all the physical stuff I paid for while listening to it for the first time (like I always do). So much for pre-ordering directly from the artist. What a disappointment.
There's also an appalling lack of useful, personal communication with the disappointed and worrying customer. In more than 25 years of (pre-)ordering music from all over the world, all in all this is by far the worst experience I ever had. I just hope this nightmare will end with a delivery that's complete and not damaged. Whenever that may be.
I don't care anymore now. I started looking forward to the new CDs by Killing Joke and The Orb (feat. David Gilmour!). Best thing is: I know I'll have them here on the respective release date. I'll order from Amazon.

My 3-disc box set hasn't yet arrived, either. I, too, am waiting for the physical thing to explore Barking - I have resisted the urge to download so far. Never did I receive word of the shipping status of my box set (only an ordering confirmation). Also, I mailed them a question about ordering a few weeks ago, and never got a reply.
Ahh, well, it will all be better (i. e., more professional) with the new album coming up in three years...

So it's now more than two weeks after the release date and still no sign of the box set, which I ordered and paid for on July 24th.
It's such a pity that ordering through the band's own website has been such a disappointing experience, and not just for me it seems. I hope the people on the band's side of this are listening and taking note. I for one will be writing to them with my thoughts once the box arrives, although at this point it looks more likely that I'll end up with a refund... :(

My order hasn't arrived, too.
But I got an answer to my question:
[...] You will receive it soon! Unfortunately there was been mail strikes across europe which has delayed a lot of orders. [...]
So there's still some hope left .......

mail strikes in Europe? Never knew that. At least they gave you a decent reason then. I was thinking it was something else distributors didn't want to tell us. Tower Records Tokyo estimates October 10 or so for me...

Yesterday's complaining seems to have worked - got my box set today and love it. :D
Still didn't get mine  (well it's true that since mid September there were two strikes of French Post which is... erm... "normal" here).
Was sure that this will happen, so I bought a copy of the "standard CD" to make me wait the limited edition box.

Glad to finally receive my copy of the super deluxe edition. My only complaint is that the discs keep falling right out of the packaging. In particular disc 2 doesn't stay in place no matter how hard you force it. 10 points for style, but minus 2 for function. Any else experiencing this difficulty?

Decreasing order of disc holder malfunction: disc 2 > disc 3 > disc 1. Which is at least some small comfort since disc 1 now prevents the other two from falling out.
Also, my outer box and inner case have been slighty dented at the down-left corner (presumably through transportation).

Something else: The promised shopper bag was missing from my package. No big deal, but am I the only one without it? (Don't want to be pointed at on a dirty meet.)

My box set has officially been given up as lost and they are going to send me a replacement. Best outcome for a bad situation.

So, forty something days after the release date I've finally received my box set and print. My excitement over its arrival is muted somewhat by the delay and the fact I had to turn to iTunes and pay again to get the album and videos even remotely near to the release date. I imagine I will enjoy the Disc 2 and the booklet, and the package and print are lovely, but it has been a poor experience from start to finish ordering direct from the band via Digital Animal.

I haven't put any of the discs in to play. Mine showed up so far after the release date I had already downloaded both discs and lost all interest in seeing the videos. Thumbed through the book for 10 minutes, put the print in frame and haven't touched it since. Thanks UW shipping department! You really know how to ruin a good buzz.

Not quite relevant, but: would anybody be able to tell me how long it takes orders from the store to ship to Australia? Cheers :3
