Working on screen play today
It's in the History of the World Part (?) style.

Working titles:

Jesus Returns: With Attitude.

Jesus Returns: I Got Nailed To Cross For This Shit? Studios heads say this isn't going to happen, but I'm pushing as hard as I can.

Scene One: Jesus Teaches Brushing Methods.

Jesus: O.K. kids take out your toothbrushes and give your teeth a quick brushing after your lunch. You do not need toothpaste for your after lunch brushing. Do not brush longer than singing “Happy Birthday To Me” twice or people will think you are a crackhead. No fastword with your lyrics boys or people will think you are a crackhead.

Picture of crackhead on PowerPoint Presentation.

Scene Two: Jesus gets written up on office.

I thought I expressed that with my History of the World reference.

Initial title was Jesus Returns: La Comedia, or Le Comedia for the French release.

I could do a tragedy for Sean, Stranglet and dubb.

I love the idea, but as I'm sure you already know, it'll be a tough sell. Jesus satire isn't necessarily a huge market. Might be something you'd want to make a short version of independently and get it out there in front of people on youtube, funnyordie....places like that. If a studio sees enough interest (potential cash returns) to outweigh any controversy, then someone just may go for it.

Good luck!

I guess you missed Life of Brian, then. One of the funniest films of that decade, imo. Although it is fair to say that you have to have a good working knowledge of the New Testament to appreciate it to the full, but even so.

jOHN - go for it!

Jesus satire is always fun, the stuff we've filmed involving Jesus may upset a few people...

Oh I've seen it and loved it - but that's what I mean. That's the only one I know of. I mean, it's not like studios are looking for Jesus parodies the same way they're looking for comic book hero movies, and I wanted to make sure John was going in knowing that, and ready to address it in any pitch he may end up having. But don't get me wrong - that's one of the reasons I like John's idea and hope he sees it through. Something with a lot of potential that could have some real individuality.
