Re: Apparat | Walls
yes, the album is very good. i even got over my initial hatred of the vocals. Apparat is on a roll it seems and this album will only help him gain more fans. if you have a chance to see him perform, don't miss it.

Re: Apparat | Walls
His style is unique when he starts do nu-trance.
You can hear it at Fractales, pt1 on this album, it also reminds Berlin, from his Berlin, Montreal, Tel Aviv EP (also on Shitkatapult) This sound he first performed on Koax_(2002 version) on (B Pitch Control no.70) Its really unique and this style reminds me another great musician Nathan Fake. It will be good if he will stay more with this unique sound, on his new album are only Fractales like that way...

Re: Apparat | Walls
i love apparat, but the vocals are so goddamn terrible that whatever he's doing with the music is almost forgotten when someone starts singing. i can't believe he insists on fucking things up that spectacularly. why work to make that music if you're going to have a bunch of amateurs jizz all over it? and then he takes the opprtunity to be really, really boring when everyone shuts up. like they're mood peices instead of actual tracks.
the only songs i can tolerate all the way through are limelight and headup. the former because it was played in thgat amazing barcelona gig and the latter because it strongly reminds me of M83 |
