Junior Boys - So This is Goodbye
anyone nab a copy of this one yet?

it's fantastic. not as languid as last exit, but neither is it as weightlessly gorgeous. they're refining those subtle melodies, but sometimes slap you with something relatively crude.
and then it's mixed effortlessly with clinically tight arrangements that are deceptively understated but so meticulously crafted. it sounds simple, but it's that consideration that finds that straight-forward groove to fit perfectly.

it's different and it's exactly just like them.

What do you mean by "crude"? I haven't heard it yet.

there are sounds which sound completely unprocessed and unaturally harsh on the ears considering it's from these two. the beginning of "like a child" for example.

it's quite departure when listeening back.

I'd say so far I enjoy it roughly the same as their first album, which is to say a lot. There's nothing 100% sublime like "Teach Me How To Fight" but "In the Morning" is fantastic and "Like a Child" is still a great pop track.

I'm enjoying this more then Last Exit, which I didn't get as much as this one.

Count Souvenirs is my current favorite.

Re: Junior Boys - So This is Goodbye
wow,

i was really pissed after finally getting this, and then I found myself constantly singing (yes actually) 'The Equalizer' and especially "Caught In A Wave" (which I must say has to be in an argument for the most subtle but brillant trrack produced by this band).

Besides that, I love it. A companion to the 1st

I must say, it's what Depeche Mode should be producing at this point in their careers. Count Souvenirs really struck me as a DM track. Yes DM track.

Much better than their first effort. IMO.

crank!
