Re: Mogwai post unedited pitchfork review before pitchfork does
Another one I find myself recommending frequently is the soundtrack they created for the film Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait.

Managed to buy this a week early and so far im not to sure if I like it that much to other releases. It is the standard Mogwai feel, but sometimes the track don't appear to be going anywhere. One of those records to listen too a lot before getting a firm opinion.

Mogwai cancels the rest of their N American tour:

from (drummer) martin bulloch:
I was taken into hospital last night (9/21) almost immediately after the show at ATP. I've been having some problems with my pacemaker for the duration of the tour and it unfortunately culminated in me being sent to the emergency room. The doctors there initially thought i would have to have corrective surgery at a larger hospital nearer NYC but i have been given the all clear to travel home on the understanding that i go straight to my cardiologist on arrival back in Scotland.
To be honest, i'm really bummed about having to go home and feel for the folk who had bought tickets for our upcoming shows but i can honestly say it would be almost impossible for me to carry on at this point as my pacemaker has broken skin and the surrounding area has become infected.

bummer. glad I caught them early in the tour. get healthy soon Martin. see you in 2009.

Re: Mogwai post unedited pitchfork review before pitchfork does
pitchfork never liked the direction that mogwai started to go in with rock action, this just maintains that.
the fact that P4k isnt calling "good one" on that "fake" track-by-track from staffers is odd. could it be actually real? jesus.

with this review and their glowing praise about the massively overrated tvotr album, i'd say theyre having a bad week.
