Chicago club The Warehouse up for landmark status
5mag just posted on their Instagram that The Warehouse is up for landmark status:
https://5mag.net/news/chicago-club-t...ndmark-status/ Preservation Chicago has included The Warehouse in this year’s list of most endangered buildings, and writes: ‘We need your help: please consider writing a letter of support and/or speaking in support of these important places next Thursday, April 13th at 12:45 pm. All written testimony must be submitted to ccl@cityofchicago.org by 12:45 pm [Central time] on Wednesday, April 12th.’ I don’t work until later Thursday afternoon, so I may try to join the Zoom meeting. Thought I’d spread the word! Last edited by cdave2; 04-11-2023 at 07:23 PM. |

Re: Chicago club The Warehouse up for landmark status
Aaaaaand it’s official! The Warehouse is now a landmark:
https://5mag.net/news/the-warehouse-...cago-landmark/ Really glad that Chicago is recognizing its house music history. Detroit has done well with Movement and promoting its role in techno; now it’s Chicago’s turn. |
