Re: collectors' corner
Received my copy of the Japan promo of 1992-2002 in the mail today. Got it for the 9:12 version of Jumbo, after the discussion here. I like hearing Jumbo with a definite ending, instead of a fade!

It also has the 11:37 version of Dirty, which isn't that great, cause it's just more of the same as the 11:17 version on Dirty Epic.

I got mine for $33 on GEMM, which I guess isn't too bad. If anyone else is interested, the same seller has another copy listed here. Unfortunately, it's listed at $44, but who knows, maybe you can e-mail him and haggle it down to $30-ish.

I've also got the 2x12" Jumbo promo on its way, for the Prelude and longer Futureshock and Jedis Sugar Hit mixes. I found it for $4 (and from a U.S. seller too, which helped on shipping). Now if anyone can just figure out which CD has the 8:12 Futureshock mix...

Also ordered the Rowla/Deep Pan 12" today, so I can hear Rowla (Long Version)! Picked that up for $15.

Does it still have the Akira sample or was that cut out?

Re: collectors' corner
I've got an IRC log in which myself and several other members of the dirtylist interrogate a certain Darren Emerson in #spikee on EFNet.

Somewhere I also have a recording of some drunk dirtylist yokel listening to the end of a live recording and yelling UNDERWORLD! UNDERWORLD! SEE YOU NEXT SUMMER! DON'T GO!

It's the 'piron piron piron piron' stuff at the end of Dirty Epic (dirty mix) sampled from "Doll's Polyphony" on the Akira soundtrack.

(If you've seen Akira it's the scene where the giant toys are attacking Tetsuo)

um... well - on the actual Akira soundtrack, the 'song' is called "Dolls' Polyphony"

and it sounds like a bunch of ... I really don't know how to describe it!

sort of imagine a bunch of high pitched voices going "boing" "pew"...

it's the scene in the movie where there are those gigantic teddy bears (and I seem to remember something about milk too... although - it's been years since I've seen the movie)

Re: collectors' corner
Yup, the Akira sample is still on there. Just imagine the ending of Dirty on the Dirty Epic CD fading out 20 seconds later, and that's basically what's on this Anthology promo.
