Re: Japan Tsunami
Matt just jumped on Skype. Everyone's all right there.

Tsunami will/might hit here in about an hour. We're well outside the flood zone, so I'm not in danger, but I'm concerned about how much damage and disruption there might be.

Re: Japan Tsunami
Glad to hear everyone is ok... i have three friends over there who are thankfully ok! But to say they are shocked would be an understatement.. Earthquakes in Ireland are non existent, so for their first one to be an 8.8 has got to be a bit of a mind fuck.

Thoughts go out to all those affected..

Re: Japan Tsunami
The scale of this one is just so hard to comprehend - 8000 times more powerful than the one that devastated Christchurch. Madness. Thank f-k those nuclear reactors in Fukushima were shut down in time (else today's blast would have taken this to a whole new level).
