Unknowns
Anyone thinking they'll ever get released? Talking about the small amount of clips taken from here:

http://uwlive.rowla.com/pages/uwunknowntracks

Some sound like proper songs such as Five/5 Points and others could have just been studio noodling around. With the recent discovery of D/Parc being a song that's been around for a few years, I think Underworld could have a potential mass of stuff that is gathering dust for us geeky kidz.

Re: Unknowns
From interviews and alll the studio jamming reported on UWLive, the boys clearly have loads of material, but aren't decided on how to release it or if it's ready for release.

But yeah, there are quite a lot of pretty "finished" sounding tracks that have been played live over the years and tasty jams from the radio shows that occasionally reappear (D/Park, Biro the Leggy/Beautiful Burnout, Lonely Bullock/Peggy Sussed, Globe/Holding the Moth, etc).

A suggestion: why not compile these tracks that the fans are clammoring for (e.g. YDS, ALAF, Bamboo, 5pt), release it through UWLive, digital download... Quality tracks and a built-in audience, and it doesn't have to have the associated stresses of a physical release.

Okay, that's not a new suggestion. But please, Rick and Karl, studio versions of these fan faves would be most appreciated and purchased!

Seconded!

Love that Osaka piece of music, heard on a few live bootlegs, sounds ace.

1998 Hugo D Nite, Rotterdam gig
I think that's the one used on that rowla.com preview

Re: Unknowns
Pretty sure "Acid Track With Guitar" became the NUXX semi-outro you can hear on EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING...

Guessing "Five Points" was abandoned because it sounds too much like Daft Punk (perhaps created with "the machine that makes everything sound like Daft Punk" that was mentioned in that old radio interview/studio tour)/

I always thought "1998 House Groove" was a fragment of "Kittens"?

Anybody else think "Groove with Strings" sounds like Gary Numan?

Want a studio version of "Nimbey Boing Pop" so badly.

Brilliant site!

A Daft Punk machine would put vocoder on everything.

It's not a bad thing at all! But if you're a band - especially a band as perfectionist as Underworld - and you make something that sounds a bit too much like another band, you might shelve it in favor of something that sounds more like you.
