Re: Borat
what i found funny was Azamad. For those of you who may not know...Azamad was speaking Armenian throughout the entire film, and Borat would answer back in.....????? or gibberish - i couldn't tell. Another thing that I found hilarious is that what Azamad was saying didn't match the subtitles - making it even funnier (then maybe a bit annoying).

the funniest scene by far was the nekkid one. i don't think i've laughed that hard...

oh wait.

yes i have...

while watching Little Miss Sunshine.

seriously though...i can't WAIT for RENI 911: MIAMI!

Did you see it at a theater where they showed a little promo for RENO 911 where they're trying to locate the screening room on the lot where the film is being screened and then get escorted away by studio security?

I know it's part of the promo thing at Regal theaters before the film starts. I've been looking for it online since seeing it with no luck.

Re: Borat
I thought it was okay. GoG was right, the show has better bits. A little cruder than I like; not because I'm uptight, but because I'm not, you know, 14.

You dodged a massive fucking bullet, man. The really huge Super Mario kind with the eyes on the side, where you had to run and duck into the little divot to avoid shrinking. You did that. You got into that divot, and you're still super sized, and you can break blocks with your face. Now get out there and step on some fucking turtles!!

Re: Borat
I think that Mahir (remember that guy!) is suing SBC too, claiming that he took the idea from Borat from him.

Can't wait for the Reno:911 movie. I saw the trailer before Borat and it looks AWESOME.

Re: Borat
The lawsuits are getting a bit more serious on this now. I want to see the film because it looks hysterical, but now I'm not so sure after reading about the possible lawsuit being brought by the absolutely destitute villagers Cohen used to represent Kazakhs in the film. I'm all for catching people in their racist, sexist, inappropriate moments.....that's their own damn fault. But this appears to be some real, and sad, exploitation. Here's an excerpt from the article I linked:

"Mr Tudorache, a deeply religious grandfather who lost his arm in an accident, was one of those who feels most humiliated. For one scene, a rubber sex toy in the shape of a fist was attached to the stump of his missing arm - but he had no idea what it was.

Only when The Mail on Sunday visited him did he find out. He said he was ashamed, confessing that he only agreed to be filmed because he hoped to top up his £70-a-month salary - although in the end he was paid just £3.

He invited us into his humble home and brought out the best food and drink his family had. Visibly disturbed, he said shakily: 'Someone from the council said these Americans need a man with no arm for some scenes. I said yes but I never imagined the whole country, or even the whole world, will see me in the cinemas ridiculed in this way. This is disgusting.

'Our region is very poor, and everyone is trying hard to get out of this misery. It is outrageous to exploit people's misfortune like this to laugh at them.

'We are now coming together and will try to hire a lawyer and take legal action for being cheated and exploited. We are simple folk and don't know anything about these things, but I have faith in God and justice.'"
