Re: Pixar's Cars
I thought it was great.

The credits are probably the funniest part.

Re: Pixar's Cars
I put off seeing it for a fair while because it seemed like it wouldn't be very interesting to me (I'm not a car fan, hell I can't even drive). But I really enjoyed it. Pixar really know how to pluck my heartstrings all too well.

Re: Pixar's Cars
well just got back

and bugger, I missed the end credits because my 4 year old was nagging to go....2 hours was a bit much for her attention span... still there's always a DVD (and it was a free preview screening)

but i really loved it (and she enjoyed spotting all the toys she already has....)

yeah, so the story is a bit wish washy, but its not bad... and the race track scenes are very good

and its no Toy Story, but its still an excellent movie by anyone else's standards... Pixar are still the don's - its no gag fest either, but the attention to detail in the cars and the types of vehicles and their respective behaviours is wonderful

i was so impressed by the level of the animation its unbelievable ... anyone who likes 'cartoons' (animation) should really go and see this its entertaining and some of the animation will leave you opened mouthed, its almost too 'real'... like the 'dust' clouds

(looking forward to the DVD - to see how it was all done so well...)

what i did like (notice) was the Car-Part shaped Rock formations in the desert, where rock crops were fenders, bonnets, and grill shaped, but its all done in a subtle way...

also the airplane smoke trails were car tyre tracks... just the subtle background stuff was lovely its great

an excellent movie 8/10

Its not Toy Story, but its a stunning animated movie and you can see how far Pixar have advanced since 11 years ago, they have learnt a lot and animation is now better than ever. In fact better than most 'real movies'.

go see it - have some fun

Matt
