FAO Fans of early Verve - EXIT CALM
only came across Exit Calm a few months ago but their debut album is definately my album of the year so far. its been produced by Ulrich Schnauss too

i know there's a few fans of storm in heaven/ first 3 eps era Verve here on the forum. Simply this is the band who capture the power and intensity of their sound while not sounding like a copycat as they've their own direction albeit heavily influenced

the rhythm section lock onto some superb grooves while the guitarist makes some wonderful epic swirling feedback driven sounds over the top; and the singer has agreat intensity to his voice

definately a band who on hearing you can't understand why their not bigger!

anyway don't take my word for it, u can listen yourself http://www.myspace.com/exitcalm

Verve's "All in the mind" continues to be effing brilliant. If it goes anywhere near that then my ears deserve a listen. Thanks
