ok...

I sort-of agree, but not completely about the Digitalism & SMD albums

both albums have some fantastic songs on them... but at the same time, most of the good songs have been around for (what seems like) aaaages, and the 'new' stuff is kinda 'ehh' at best (save for "Pogo" on Digitalism's album... which wasn't previously released - and is actually very good)

it's like... how would you have felt about LCD Soundsystem's first album if, instead of putting all of the previously-released singles on a separate cd as a bonus; they just edited down a couple of the songs, threw out half of the album and put them together onto one cd

for example, out of the 10 songs on SMD's album, four of them have been around for a while

(edit)
the Justice album, btw - is FANTASTIC
I take back like... half of all the crap I said about them before

Re: recent purchases, downloads, etc.
i'm not a fan of the new french wave. it's pissed up frat boy music like big beat was in the late 90s. i do enjoy SMD's album in the car though. it's produced with this edge on it that makes it a great album to go cutting through the city streets at dusk blasting on 11. Hustler in particular has been getting hammered since the ep came out. btw, if you like Hustler get the single mix as it's twice as long therefore twice as good. Justice have never done it for me and i've got the Digitalism sitting on my desk now, however, none of the Digitalism remixes i've heard have been good. are daft punk the ones funding all these bands?

Re: recent purchases, downloads, etc.
Most Recent purchases:
Apparat - Walls
Ellen Allien - Berlinette
Optimo - Walkabout
Dry County - Unexpected Falls
Fabric 34: Ellen Allien
Dopplereffekt - Gesamtkunstwerk
Drexciya - Neptune's Lair, Harnessed The Storm
Silicon Scally - Bioroid, Mr. Machine

Cetainly can't say I'm disappointed with any of the above, and I've fallen in love with Silicon Scally.

I ordered the SMD album, no sign of it yet. The full length of Hustler is great indeed. Out of Waters of Nazareth, Justice haven't done much for me.

No, this is the first I've heard of his stuff. Been doing my homework though, I'll picking a lot of his stuff up. Cheers for the tip.
